19 Oct 2007 - Brad and Angie Screwing Up The Kids
Doctors are confirming what the public has been saying for the last year, moving around the kids is just not good for the Jolie-Pitts!

In the last two years alone, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have moved their kids to half a dozen cities around the world and therapists are saying that it is just not good for the kids, especially Maddox.

According to psychotherapist/social worker Puja Hall , Jolie and Pitt are "not creating a stable environment outside the family unit.”

"Maddox is an adopted child, so he already has a sense of abandonment…Kids that constantly move are like army brats, in that very often they don't want to open up to people. They feel loss, and there is a problem with attachment."

Although it is really isn't anybody's business how they raise their children, Angie and Brad have to understand that it is just not stable environment for the kids.

Hall tells Page Six, "With the moves, the kids just don't invest in relationships, because they're going to lose them anyway…They think: 'Why bother? I'm not gonna stick around. We're gonna pick up and go, and the loss of friends is painful.' "

It might be fun and exciting to move the kids around now, but they might have some serious issues when they are much older. Do you guys agree with what this therapist/social worker is saying?

18 Oct 2007 - Thanksgiving in Missouri: Key Moment for Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt?
Where will Brangelina spend Thanksgiving? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been reported to be at odds over where to spend the Holiday season. Life & Style Weekly reports that Angelina has been distancing herself from Brad's family, telling him she doesn’t want to join his parents, Jane and Bill Pitt, for Thanksgiving at their Springfield, Missouri home.

Will this be the defining moment for Angelina and Brad? The weekly entertainment magazine claims that the pair are again fighting, this time over what the cover story calls Jolie's drinking. Brad is fresh off an interview where he says he is now a sober dad and has given up the booze.

But the Life & style story cites an eyewitness that claims Jolie was mixing wine and vodka at a recent dinner at Sir Harry’s bar in NYC’s Waldorf-Astoria hotel on Oct. 8. The online article is here and claims Brad may still be slamming cocktails himself but he is fed up with Angie's boozing. After what is called a "fourth shot of vodka" Brad whispered in Angie's ear.

Sir Harry’s customer Richard Parsakian goes on the record with the magazine and says, “Brad said something in her ear,” Parsakian says. “You could see she didn’t like whatever he had said to her. There was a lot of whispering between them.” Finally, says a second witness, “Brad just said, ‘No more,’ loud enough for people around to hear. Their evening just folded up after that.” One can imagine that it would.

18 Oct 2007 - Angelina Jolie is on the Oscars campaign trail too!
Just because Angelina Jolie famously shrinks from the media, doesn't mean that she's dodging her duty to revive interest in summer release "A Mighty Heart" now that the DVD is out and the movie may become a major player in the kudos derby. For starters, Angelina has agreed to appear at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to be feted like past honorees en route to Oscar noms (and sometimes wins) Helen Mirren, Forest Whitaker, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Peter Jackson. Not all fest honorees end up with Oscar glory next. Didn't happen for Naomi Watts or Jeff Bridges. But it's proven to be an important stop along the campaign trail.

That's not till Feb. 2, though. Meantime, she's getting a mighty workout elsewhere on the trail. On Oct. 30, she'll present an award at the Courage Journalism Awards. On Nov. 11, she'll attend the Women's Image Network Awards where she's a nominee. Over the last few weeks she's done lots of phone interviews to hype the DVD release. Ahead, she's agreed to pose for "a key magazine cover." Hmmmm. . . would that be Entertainment Weekly or Vanity Fair?

18 Oct 2007 - Sex Sells: Just Put Angelina Jolie's Boob On a Billboard
So we've spoken at great length about the MPAA and the way in which they go about approving billboards. Earlier in the year, After Dark Films found themselves in some hot water after a billboard for Captivity that wasn't approved by the MPAA found its way onto city streets and on buses. Apparently, those ads, separated into four different frames, featured Elisha Cuthbert's eyes and the words 'abduction,' 'confinement,' 'torture' and 'termination.' Folks were pretty shocked to see a woman's eyes on top of those four words, and so the ads were immediately yanked while After Dark Films was slapped with all kinds of sanctions. Cinematical later spoke with After Dark's Courtney Solomon who attempted to clear up the skirmish.

Now, as you can see above, there's a new billboard for the movie Beowulf featuring the mo-capped, left-boobage of Angelina Jolie. And it's a PG-13-rated film. Am I missing something here -- who at the MPAA approved this advertisement? Is this appropriate for 13-year-old kids? She's obviously naked in the picture, except for the fact that they did something weird to her boob, making it look like she's wearing a strange, golden bikini top ... as her hair "slithers" and "snakes" around her body. Hmmm. Personally, I think we, as a society, need to loosen up a bit -- but I do find it interesting that the MPAA would allow an image like this for a PG-13-rated film. I wonder how many guys will get into fender-benders while reaching to get a closer look at Jolie's breast? What do you think?

17 Oct 2007 - Brother: Angelina Jolie's Children Are 'Unbelievable'
Angelina Jolie's brother, James Haven, looks on in wonder at his sister's children with Brad Pitt.

"They're unbelievable," Haven, 34, an activist for AIDS and human rights causes, tells Marie Claire in November's issue. "Zahara likes to hide from Angie, who always knows, right when she walks in the room, that Z's playing."

As for Pax, who was adopted at age 3 in March from a Vietnamese orphanage, the child "amazed me the first time he said my name," says the proud uncle.

"He didn't know any English, and I hadn't heard him say a word yet, so I wasn't expecting it," says Haven.

Human Rights Activist
Haven, an executive board member of Artivist, which is sponsoring an L.A. film festival Nov. 8 - 9 for movies about human rights and environmental issues, says he got started in philanthropy because of his sister.

"Angie was the catalyst," he says. "She'd say, 'I just heard this is going on in Darfur ...' and I'd want to be involved."

He also was prompted by what he called his difficult home conditions growing up with father Jon Voight.

"I don't want to constantly berate my father – I wish him well, and I hope he finds peace – but he put my mom through years of mental abuse, and it made me care especially for abandoned women and children," says Haven. "So that's my religion – helping widows and orphans."

A rep for Voight didn't return a call seeking comment.

On a less serious note, Haven says he still wishes people would forget about his famous kiss of his sister at the 2000 Oscars.

"So long ago!" he says. "Can we please move forward? Someday I'll get married, and on my wedding day they'll be saying, 'OK, we have to ask about that infamous Oscar kiss.'"

17 Oct 2007 - Angelina's Dad on Feud: "I've Tried to Mend This Relationship"
After son James Haven's accusations of "mental abuse" in a recent magazine article, Jon Voight is speaking out. The 68-year-old actor, who is also Angelina Jolie's dad, tells Usmagazine.com in a statement:

"I find it very heartbreaking that my children want to paint a bad guy portrait of me. I feel it comes from their inability to let go of years of programmed anger from their mother, who understandably felt quite hurt when we divorced. In all truth, I tried to give him and their mother continuous love and support and large sums of money. God knows, for years I've tried to mend this relationship. Perhaps the trauma of their mother's passing has made it worse."

In November's Marie Claire, Haven says he dedicates himself to helping abandoned women and children due to his own scarred experience as a child. Of his famous father, Haven says, "I don't want to constantly berate my father -- I wish him well, and I hope he finds peace -- but he put my mom through years of mental abuse."

Despite the affront, Voight continues to hope for a relationship with Haven, and Jolie. He tells Us, "I continuously send them my heart and love and am always available to them for whatever they may need from me."

16 Oct 2007 - Voight heartbroken by son's public attack
Actor John Voight has publicly berated his son James Haven over "heartbreaking" comments he made about him in the upcoming November (07) issue of Marie Claire magazine.
Haven has blasted his father, claiming he put his late mother through years of mental anguish, in the publication.

He tells the magazine, "I don't want to constantly berate my father... but he put my mom through years of mental abuse, and it made me care especially for abandoned women and children.
"That's my religion - helping widows and orphans." Haven's sister Angelina Jolie has also attacked her father over the way he abandoned her mother Marcheline Bertrand, leaving her to bring up two children alone.

And Voight has had enough of his kids' attacks.
He tells Life & Style magazine, "I find it very heartbreaking that my children want to paint a bad guy portrait of me. I feel it comes from their inability to let go of years of programmed anger from their mother, who understandably felt quite hurt when we divorced.

"In all truth, I tried to give him (Haven) and their mother continuous love and support and large sums of money. God knows, for years I've tried to mend this relationship.
"Perhaps the trauma of their mother's passing has made it worse. I continuously send them my heart and love and am always available to them for whatever they need from me."
