08 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie's family won't let her cook Thanksgiving
The Oscar-winning beauty - who has three adopted children, Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, and two-year-old Zahara, as well as 17-month-old daughter Shiloh with partner Brad Pitt - admits she's not a great cook and needs all the help she can get in the kitchen.

Angelina told US TV show 'Good Morning America', "I'm not much of a cook, so we'll see what happens. I try. We all chip in. But I don't think anyone in my family wants me to handle Thanksgiving dinner."

The 'Wanted' actress says the family's celebrations will be multi-cultural as she wants to respect the origins of her adopted children's countries.

Angelina - who adopted Maddox from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam and Zahara from Ethiopia - said, "We celebrate Moon Festival for my boys, who are from Asia, and Kwanzaa and things like that. We certainly try to celebrate as many of those as we can, and celebrate all culture."

Meanwhile, Angelina snapped at a journalist who asked her about her recent W magazine cover battle with Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer - whose marriage to Brad ended shortly after he starred in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' with Angelina - and the 'Tomb Raider' actress both star on separate covers of the November edition of the glossy publication entitled The Art Issue.

But when quizzed about the edition, Angelina said, "Why would I comment on that? That matters because...?"

08 Nov 2007 - Pitt caught in row between mom and Jolie
It appears Brad Pitt has been forced into the role of mediator in a hissy fit between his mother and Angelina Jolie.

The between the two most important women in Pitt's world began after Jolie told a UK publication that in the past she's used "every drug possible." That quote didn't sit well with Jane Pitt.

"Jane was livid after she saw Angelina's drug quotes—and she really let Angie have it when they were on the phone together shortly after," a source told Star. "Jane told Angie there was nothing to gain from rehashing her drug use, and that she has a lot more to think about than herself—she should have considered her children and family first!"

The inside source claims Angelina apologized to Pitt's mom, then handed him the phone.

"He agreed that Angie's latest admission was uncalled for—but he also told his mom that maybe she was being a little too hard on her. Brad reminded his mother how far Angie has come from her wild days, and that this blowup was only going to set their relationship back again."

The tensions between Jolie and Pitt's family aren't limited to his mom, according to Star.

"There's always drama when Angie is around the Pitt clan," the insider added. "She doesn't feel obligated to discuss certain subjects, like moving the children from school to school, so there's often little to talk about. She's even complained to Brad that she has nothing in common with the rest of his family."

08 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie bans children from seeing latest movie
The Oscar-winning beauty believes it would be inappropriate for Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and 17-month-old Shiloh to see their mother as a naked computer-animated temptress killer lizard in her movie 'Beowulf.'

Angelina said, "I think it's too much. I don't think they should see their mom that way. I don't wear nightgowns like that in the house. I've got boys in my house. You don't do that as a mom."

The actress said she may consider letting them view the film when they grow up.

She added to People magazine, "When they're older, hopefully they'll see it. It's weird, I'm a mom."

Angelina recently revealed she felt "exposed" after seeing herself naked in 'Beowulf'.

The actress was so shocked by how "real" the animation looked, she warned long-term partner Brad Pitt about the sexy nude scenes.

Angelina said, "I was really surprised that I felt exposed. There are certain moments where I actually felt shy - and called home, just to explain that the fun movie I had done that was a digital animation was, in fact, a little different than we expected.

"I didn't expect ourselves to come out as much. I didn't expect it to feel as real, so it was kind of funny at first."

08 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie's brother says she may be ready for another baby
Angelina and her long-term partner Brad Pitt - who have three adopted children, Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, and two-year-old Zahara as well as 17-month-old daughter Shiloh - are being encouraged to expand their brood by Angelina's brother James Haven.

When asked if his sister was planning to have more children, James said, "I would assume so, yes. I've even been like, 'So, when are you going to?' "

Last month, Angelina sparked pregnancy rumors after canceling a lecture in Rimini, Italy, after allegedly discovering she was expecting.

James, who attended the Los Angeles premiere of his sister's latest film 'Beowulf' with Angelina and Brad on Monday , also revealed the couple's relationship is successful because they have managed to keep the passion alive.

He said, "They just work off each other well. I just think there is a certain energy to it."

James can't wait to work with the couple in the future as they all get on so well.

He said, "We get along great. We talk about movies, we talk about bikes. Kids obviously are a major topic, so it's great. You know, I'm looking forward one day to maybe working with him."

The 34-year-old actor also brushed off reports surrounding Angelina's worryingly gaunt appearance.

James insisted, "I know she is fine, I know she is fine."

08 Nov 2007 - UNHCR, Angelina Jolie Receive Freedom Award
The International Rescue Committee has given its annual Freedom Award to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and its Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie in recognition of their contributions to the cause.

"The Freedom Award is a symbol that we will only be able to fully enjoy our freedom when everyone else is able to enjoy theirs," said High Commissioner António Guterres at a ceremony in New York on Wednesday.

Although unable to attend the event, Ms. Jolie in a video message hailed the close partnership between UNHCR and the International Rescue Committee.

People of concern to UNHCR include not only refugees, but related groups such as asylum-seekers, refugee returnees, stateless people and some of the estimated 25 million people who are displaced within their own countries, normally known as internally displaced persons (IDP).

Since 2006, the number of refugees worldwide has been increasing and now stands at some 10 million, UNHCR said, attributing the rise largely to the crisis in Iraq.

This year marked the second time the UN agency has been honoured by the International Rescue Committee for its work protecting refugees; in 1995, the then High Commissioner Sadako Ogata received the Freedom Award.

05 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie Pimps ‘A Mighty Heart’ DVD Release
Angelina Jolie attends a Q&A session moderator by film critic Peter Hammond following a screening of the critically-acclaimed A Mighty Heart to celebrate the film’s DVD release at the Paramount Studio Lot on Sunday in Hollywood, Calif.

Earlier this weekend Angelina attended a press conference in Los Angeles to answer questions about her upcoming animated feature Beowulf and was asked about seeing herself in a simulated nude scene.

“I got a little shy,” she said. “I was really surprised that I felt that exposed. There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected. I didn’t expect ourselves to come out as much. I didn’t expect it to feel as real, and so because of especially the type of character I play, it was kind of funny at first.”

The Robert Zemeckis‘ (Forrest Gump, Polar Express) film will be released simultaneously in IMAX 3D and regular theaters on Nov. 16. Beowulf also stars Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, Robin Wright Penn, Crispin Glover and John Malkovich.

Angie and Anthony Hopkins are also expected to make an appearance on Good Morning America today (Monday).
