14 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie Demands Sudanese “Criminals” be Put on Trial
In her debut article in The Economist, Angelina Jolie demanded that perpetrators of genocide and other crimes be prosecuted to stop further atrocities in Darfur.

“Accountability is perhaps the only force powerful enough to break the cycle of violence and retribution that marks so many conflicts," Jolie, 32, wrote in a full-page essay in the political weekly’s annual spin-off issue, The World in 2008, which hits stands Wednesday.

“Through accountability we can begin the process of righting past wrongs, and even change the behavior of some of the world's worst criminals,” she said.

As a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Jolie recalled meeting a teenage boy in the Sudanese region on a recent mission. She said that he asked her why those who commit crimes against humanity are not put on trial.

“I hope that the Sudanese government will hand over the government minister and the Janjaweed militia leader who have been indicted for war crimes [by the International Criminal Court in The Hague], and that the teenager I met ... will get the trial he seeks," she wrote.

She added, "I hope that those responsible for the atrocities in Darfur will be held to account, not only for that young man's sake, but for the world's."

14 Nov 2007 - Jolie upset about Aniston's relationship with Pitt's mom
Actress Angelina Jolie is so upset with Brad Pitt's mother Jane for having a 'sneaky' relationship with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston that she has threatened to disown her.

Jolie is reportedly enraged that Jane had invited Pitt's ex-wife Aniston to spend Thanksgiving with her. Contactmusic.com reports that Aniston has been estranged from her own mother for almost nine years now.

'Jen sees no reason to stop contact with Jane. They speak on the phone at least once a month and exchange cards and e-mails. But, apparently, it makes Ange's (Angelina Jolie) skin crawl. Ange has pulled no punches, and has made it clear to Brad that there will be no family harmony while Jane keeps up her friendship with Aniston. But Brad has told Ange that what his mother does in her free time is her own business,' said a friend of Aniston.

Aniston and Pitt split in 2005 after being married for five years but she has remained close to her former mother-in-law even after Pitt moved on with Jolie to start a family.

14 Nov 2007 - 'Ethiopia', the Brangelina purchase for green living
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a man-made island in the shape of Ethiopia that is part of an ambitious luxury development off the coast of Dubai, a newspaper reported yesterday.

The Hollywood power couple intend to use the reclaimed piece of land to showcase environmental issues and encourage people to live a greener life, the Emirates Today newspaper said.

The couple's purchase is part of a cluster of 300 islands, shaped like a world map, that is gradually surfacing in waters off the booming Gulf emirate. Representatives of the pair in the US and other reliable sources have confirmed the purchase.

The couple's daughter Zahara, 2, was born in Ethiopia.

Billionaire businessman Richard Branson and musician Rod Stewart are also reported to have bought plots on the development. Prices for the islands range from $US6 million ($A6.7 million) to $US36 million.

The $6 million figure would buy a considerable amount of real estate in Ethiopia itself.

A Kuwaiti consortium has snapped up the islands representing Australia and New Zealand at an undisclosed price for a luxury lifestyle project.

The bustling emirate of Dubai, which is a member of the UAE federation, is positioning itself as a global leisure and finance hub through The World and several other mega-projects.

14 Nov 2007 - Jolie Wants Tougher Action To Combat Human Atrocities
Angelina Jolie is calling for world leaders to persecute those who commit crimes against humanity, because it is the only way to hold people to account.

The Hollywood actress and human rights campaigner made her plea to international governments in a new article for The Economist magazine, entitled The World in 2008, in which she urged tougher action against rogue leaders.

And Jolie, a goodwill ambassador to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, hopes to see something done soon to combat the ongoing genocide in Darfur, western Sudan. She has visited neighbouring Chad twice - once in 2003 and again earlier this year - to speak to victims of the Sudanese atrocity and highlight their cause.

Writing in The Economist magazine, she says, "Accountability is perhaps the only force powerful enough to break the cycle of violence and retribution that marks so many conflicts.

"Through accountability we can begin the process of righting past wrongs, and even change the behaviour of some of the world's worst criminals.

"I hope that the Sudanese government will hand over the government minister and the Janjaweed militia leader who have been indicted for war crimes (by the International Criminal Court in The Hague), and that the teenager I met in Chad will get the trial he seeks.

"I hope that those responsible for the atrocities in Darfur will be held to account, not only for that young man's sake, but for the world's."

13 Nov 2007 - News about the site!
First of all, I'm very sorry for staying without news for 5 days, I know that's a long time, specially with the UK premiere of Beowulf and lots of things going on, but I was really mad about Absolument Jolie stealing LOTS of things from me.

Even admins from Hollywood.com sent them emails, but they have not responded and they still claim on their sites to have copyright over things that I have made myself! Which I find both hilarious and indignating!

But that's just one side of what's going on...

The gallery is 70% complete!!! I just need a few days and the brand new gallery will be up and you will all enjoy its beautifull and organised content!!! It's the Candids section what is taking me most of the time actually ¬¬
But I promise you won't regret the waiting!

I've also collected some videos from the recent premieres of Beowulf, so when the gallery is done, I'll also update those!

That's all for now! Keep visiting and supporting me please!!! Thanks to everyone!

PS: I'm also looking for new cool affiliates! So please contact me if you're interested!

13 Nov 2007 - Brad Pitt Covers Angelina Jolie at Premiere
It was a cold night in London on Sunday, and Angelina Jolie should know.

The stunner strutted the red carpet for the U.K. premiere of her latest film, the computer animated Beowulf, in an outfit that included skin-tight black leather pants. In fact, maybe they were too tight.

As Jolie, 32, headed toward the theater in Leicester Square, it became clear that her slacks were splitting down the back. Luckily, her partner Brad Pitt was there to lend a hand – literally – as he shielded the gap with his palm.

To make matters worse, Jolie also stepped in gum at the premiere, and a sizable wad stubbornly stuck to one of her sky-high Christian Louboutin heels.

The Oscar-winner hardly seemed to notice her wardrobe woes, however – graciously signing autographs for fans and making the red-carpet interview rounds.

The couple – in town for the premiere without kids Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1 – also found time for a date-night on Saturday. They slipped out for dinner at Roka, a London restaurant known for its sashimi and tempura.

They "enjoyed all [our] best dishes," the manager told PEOPLE, "and looked very, very happy."

13 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie shows her support for fallen soldiers with a poppy
American movie star Angelina Jolie is joining British people by marking Remembrance Day by wearing a traditional poppy pinned to her coat.

The A-lister was spotted with partner Brad Pitt leaving a night-spot displaying the bright red poppy in memory of thousands of soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The 32-year-old prides herself on humanitarian work and has now added the Poppy Appeal to the long list of charities she supports.

Jolie has recently been at the centre of a debate about her sudden weight loss which she blamed on grief over the loss of her mother.

Despite her slender figure, there are persistent rumours that Jolie, who starred in Tomb Raider six years ago, is expecting her second child with Brad Pitt.

The couple have three adopted children, Maddox, six, Zahara, two, and the most recent addition, Pax Thien, three.

They also have their own baby, Shiloh, who was born last year.

13 Nov 2007 - Angelina Jolie's Brad love
Angelina Jolie says watching Brad Pitt bond with their children has given her emotions she's never experienced before.

The Oscar-winning beauty - who has three adopted children, Maddox, six, Pax, three, and two-year-old Zahara as well as 17-month-old daughter Shiloh with the 'Fight Club' star - has been blown away by how easily Brad has taken to fatherhood.

Angelina - who adopted Maddox and Zahara before she started dating the actor - said: "Brad has been an incredibly supportive and caring man and a great father. It means a lot to me to have him in my life and to be there for our children because I was prepared and even resigned to raise them alone.

"You can't know how good a father a man will be without actually seeing him in that role. But Brad is so good with Mad, and they've bonded in such a beautiful way that it almost makes me cry - and I never cry."

The 'Wanted' actress says she could spend all day just watching Brad play with the children.

She said: "Brad is just so natural playing with the kids. His eyes light up whenever he teaches Mad or Pax something new and sees them laugh or scream with joy. I could spend hours just watching Brad enjoy his time with the kids - except I'm usually busy changing clothes or getting the kids ready for bed myself!"
