02 Feb 2008 - Angelina Jolie Health Scare: Collapse Report
Angelina Jolie reportedly was in tears just hours before strolling the red carpet with her baby daddy Brad Pitt to show off what many believe is a brand new baby bump. The couple stole the show with their parade and their public make out session and many criticized them for their public display of affection (there were photos of them making out at the table) on a night where many remained somber due to the recent passing of fellow actor Heath Ledger.

It seemed odd that on the first anniversary of her mother's death that Jolie would even attend. She had insisted that the loss of her mother was the reason she had spent the year losing weight, so much so that many had lumped her in with the pin thin "scary skinny" starlets around Hollywood. Jolie said she knew she was too thing, but she was grieving.

Now the UK Daily Mail has a new report out that details many things, including one report that Jolie earlier collapsed on the set of her new movie (Clint Eastwood's 'The Changeling'). Citing what they call Hollywood rumors, the paper notes that gossips claim she collapsed twice on the set.

Now many are saying that may have been because she is now with child. Us Weekly magazine reported this week that she may even sell the "announcement" to the highest bidder. When Jolie was pregnant with her little blob Shiloh, there were all kinds of reports of her health and scares as well because of her small frame. Set the clock because if she really is knocked up, more scary health reports will emerge.

02 Feb 2008 - Playboy.com Readers: Angelina Jolie Is Sexiest Celebrity
Angelina Jolie is this year's sexiest female celebrity, according to visitors to Playboy.com.

Scarlett Johansson is next, followed by Jessica Alba.

Hugh Hefner's three "girlfriends," from the reality show, "The Girls Next Door," are in fourth place.

Even though Jolie's in first, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson will be on the cover of Playboy's March issue. They are, after all, Hefner's ladies.

Other celebs on the sexy list: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alicia Keys, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.

Jolie, meanwhile, is pregnant, a "close source" reportedly told Us Weekly magazine.

The flowing dress that Jolie wore to Sunday's SAG Awards — as well as her curvier body — had stargazers speculating that she might have a bun in the oven.

One SAG attendee told Us Weekly: "It was so obvious she was pregnant. You could clearly see the bump's outline."

02 Feb 2008 - Angelina Jolie Accepts SBIFF Award
Few roles in this year’s crop of great screen performances send the powerful message that Angelina Jolie has put into her portrayal of Mariane Pearl, the Cuban-French journalist whose husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, was kidnapped and then murdered by Al Qaeda in Karachi, Pakistan, in February 2002. As an Oscar winner and one of the world’s most sought-after leading women, Jolie has had her pick of many lucrative roles since her breakthrough 1999 performance in James Mangold’s Girl, Interrupted.

In obtaining the lead in A Mighty Heart, which was produced by her partner Brad Pitt’s company Plan B Entertainment, Jolie had to please someone whose perspective diverged considerably from that of a film studio executive. That was Mariane Pearl herself, who agreed that Jolie would be the best choice to tell her story. Jolie has acknowledged that she considered this the toughest role of her career thus far, telling the Los Angeles Times, “It was the one film I’ve done where I’d lost sleep and didn’t think I could do it.” Despite her concerns, Jolie succeeded in bringing to the screen a fantastic sense of this woman’s extraordinary courage and determination in the long months of search and discovery leading up to the tragic news that her husband had been executed.

The performance is a masterpiece of understatement and interiority that blazes forth in Jolie’s unforgettable eyes, blending the best features of contemporary, documentary-style realism with an undeniably classic Hollywood-star presence.

Mariane Pearl has been a friend of Jolie’s since before the film project began. Their children, Adam and Maddox, play together, and the two mothers share an attitude toward global politics that resonates in every frame of this extremely moving work. As an international public intellectual and a citizen of the contemporary world, Mariane Pearl makes an unusual kind of heroine for what is essentially an action-suspense story, albeit without the usual car chases, standoffs, and special effects. A Mighty Heart is a thriller for people who would rather watch a pregnant woman win intense arguments with frightening officials in a foreign country than see another overdeveloped male act as though he is some kind of steroid-induced killing machine.

The fierce dignity Jolie achieves through her uncanny assimilation of Pearl’s idiosyncratic speech patterns adds a touch of the new to an old story — the triumph of love in a time of war. The recent assassination of Benazir Bhutto only adds to the sense that this portrait of a woman who is at home — or at least fully herself — in both the West and the East is something that needs to be seen on both sides of this unfortunate cultural divide.

28 Jan 2008 - Brad and Angelina steal the show at the Screen Actors Guild Awards
On a night full of headline-making moments it was Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who hogged the spotlight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this weekend.

As reports they're expecting a new addition to their family circulate in the US, the photogenic duo seemed especially affectionate, sharing a lingering kiss during the ceremony. And the loose-fitting gown chosen by the Tomb Raider actress - who was nominated for her role in A Mighty Heart - did nothing to dispel speculation she might be pregnant.

The pair, already adoptive parents to Maddox, six, Zahara, three, four-year-old Pax Thien and their natural daughter, one-year-old Shiloh, have made no secret of the fact they want another child. And it seems their wish may be granted twice over as reports published Stateside speak of the Angelina expecting twins.

Also causing a stir at the bash was beautiful Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, back in LA after a trip to London to see pal Victoria Beckham perform with the Spice Girls. And the jet-setting star, who showed off her enviable curves on the red carpet in a backless silver gown, revealed she was star struck by Brad and Angelina. "I've never been this close to them," she whispered on the red carpet. "Oh my gosh, she's stunning!"

At the glitzy ceremony, the assembled celeb audience saw Oscar-nominated Julie Christie walk away with the best actress gong for her role in Away From Her, and Daniel Day-Lewis win the best actor award for There Will Be Blood. Also picking up trophies were Sopranos actor James Gandolfini, who scooped a gong for best male actor in a series, and Spanish hunk Javier Bardem - named best supporting actor.

27 Jan 2008 - Glamour returns to Hollywood with Screen Actors Guild Awards
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Star power makes a welcome return on Sunday as the Screen Actors Guild hands out its annual awards in the glitziest ceremony of a season clouded by a bitter industry strike.

Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe are among the celebrities expected on the red carpet at the Shrine auditorium in Los Angeles in the only awards show so far this year that resembles traditional Hollywood glamour.

Forecasts of heavy rain, the sudden death of promising actor Heath Ledger last week and the strike cloud hanging over next month's Oscars may dampen some of the enthusiasm at Sunday's party. Organizers have erected a vast tent over the arrivals area because of the rain.

But the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards gives actors, producers and studios an opportunity to celebrate after three months of a strike by screenwriters that has crippled movie and TV production and led to a star boycott of the Golden Globe and People's Choice Awards earlier this month.

The striking Writers Guild Of America allowed its members to write for the SAG awards show and said it would not mount protests outside the event because actors have been strong allies of the writers in their dispute with studios over better payments for work distributed over the Internet.

No such deal has been reached for the Oscars on February 24 although talks resumed last week between the WGA and major studios after a six-week break marked by growing hostility.

OUT OF SYNC WITH OSCARS

Winners at SAG are normally seen as key contenders for an Oscar since actors make up the biggest group of the 6,000 Academy Award voters.

But this year, SAG appears out of sync with the Oscars in the best picture race. British war romance "Atonement" and the greed and power drama "There Will Be Blood," which won eight Oscar nominations, are missing from SAG's nominees for its top prize of best cast ensemble.

Instead the true-life wilderness story "Into the Wild," which was written and directed by actor Sean Penn, leads the SAG field with four nominations. It received a disappointing two Oscar nods.

Joining the list of nominees for best ensemble cast is musical "Hairspray," western "3:10 to Yuma," crime thriller "American Gangster" and the latest Coen brothers movie, "No Country for Old Men."

Britons Daniel Day Lewis, who plays a malicious oil entrepreneur in "There Will Be Blood," Julie Christie, who plays a woman with Alzheimer's Disease in "Away From Her," and France's Marion Cotillard, who played singer Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose," are front-runners for SAG's best actor and actress awards after winning Golden Globes and Oscar nominations.

Spain's Javier Bardem is the man to beat in his supporting role as a cool-headed killer in "No Country For Old Men." But less predictable is the supporting actress category, which includes Cate Blanchett playing Bob Dylan in "I'm Not There," Tilda Swinton for the legal thriller "Michael Clayton" and Amy Ryan for "Gone Baby Gone."

The Screen Actors Guild also hands out television awards. "The Sopranos," "Boston Legal," "Grey's Anatomy," "The Closer" and "Mad Men" are competing for best TV drama ensemble cast.

"Entourage," "Desperate Housewives," "30 Rock," "The Office" and "Ugly Betty" are nominated for best comedy cast.

27 Jan 2008 - Angelina Jolie Pregnant With Twins
Angelina Jolie did it again. She is pregnant with her second (and maybe third) biological child from Brad Pitt.

Lately, Jolie was having problems by getting pregnant because of her health. The media was speculating that Jolie felt helpless because of her work as an actress, as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, as a mom and wife. Another cause of her situation was the lost of her mother last year.

Anyway, the big news is that Angie is pregnant. It’s all she ever wanted: a happy family and lots of kids. Brad Pitt must be the happiest man alive. Moreover, he will be happier when will hold his second child in his arms.

There is also the rumour that Jolie is expecting twins. This turned on the show at the Critics' Choice awards on January 7 looking considerably fuller of figure. It’s a big baby bump for just a kid, and maybe there two.

Jolie is said to have been spotted visiting the office of Dr Jason Rothbart, the doctor who treated her during her first pregnancy.

A source told Star magazine: "Brad and Angelina are absolutely ecstatic, but I still think there will be more adoptions to come."

Brad Pitt, 44, has said that he and Angelina may have anywhere between seven and nine children in total. That’s a big family, but considering that they have the opportunity to grow them and give a proper education, the Jolie-Pitt family may have so many kids, as they really want.

We remind that Angelina has already three adopted kids Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh the biological one.

It’s quite interesting what will be happening on ten years in there house, the kids will be grown up enough to piss off mom or dad, and the parents should get some patient with them.
