Angelina Jolie's ex-husband Billy Bob Thorton has congratulated the star on her pregnancy.

The Tomb Raider actress confirmed earlier this week that she and partner Brad Pitt are expecting twins later this year.

And Thornton - who divorced Jolie five years ago - says he is thrilled with the news. He tells America's OK! magazine, "I think she was always meant to be a mother in so many ways. I'm just so happy for her.
"I'm happy for the kids to have a mother like her and a father like him"
And Thornton also heaped praise on his former lover for her goodwill and humanitarian efforts.

He adds, "I'm astounded that somebody has that kind of passion and that much energy for something that actually does affect people and help people out."

Thornton met Jolie on the set of 1999 movie Pushing Tin and the pair married in 2000.

Angelina Jolie confirmed that she and Brad Pitt are having twins!

According to Access Hollywood, Angie gave an interview with the Today show host Natalie Morales.

She confirmed the news in Cannes on Wednesday while sitting beside costar Jack Black and promoting their new animated film, Kung Fu Panda.

The twins will be Brad and Angie’s 5th & 6th children, joining Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, almost 2.

WOWOWOWOW! Congrats to the Jolie-Pitts!!! Maybe they will be having twin girls after all!

UPDATE: During the interview, Black said of Angie: “You’re gonna have as many as [the] Brady Bunch when you have these.”

When asked by Morales about having twins, Angie replied, “Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already. Well, Jack’s just confirmed it actually.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were ranked No. 21 on TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.

George Clooney wrote the article explaining how and why Brad and Angelina were deserving of the honor.

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie top the list of people within Entertainment at No. 21!

The top ten are: 1. Dalai Lama 2. Vladimir Putin 3. Barack Obama 4. Hillary Clinton 5. John McCain 6. Hu Jintao 7. George W. Bush 8. Jacob Zuma 9. Anwar Ibrahim 10. Kevin Rudd.

A video showing a young Angelina Jolie using heroin is up for sale.

A tape that’s said to show a young Angelina Jolie smoking heroin is being offered for sale the National Enquirer claim. “The key part of the tape is Angelina doing heroin. She says, 'Wow, this is really good smack - not that cheap crap that's been stepped on,’” a source claims. Adding, “Angelina is seen sniffing white lines from a plate, and then as the drug cooks on tinfoil, she deeply sucks in its smoke through a tube.” The owner apparently wants £37,500 for the tape.

Angelina has always been open about her drug use, last year she told Cosmopolitan, “I've done just about every drug possible. Coke, heroin, ecstasy, LSD, everything. The worst effect, for me, was pot. I felt silly and giggly, and I hate feeling like that,” before recalling, “I remember taking LSD before I went to Disneyland. I started thinking about Mickey Mouse being a short, middle-aged man in a costume who hates his life. Those drugs can be dangerous if you don't go into it positively. I gave them up long ago.” Wise move.

Mom-to-be Angelina Jolie arrives in the South of France with family and spends some time on the porch with her kids on Tuesday.

Brad Pitt, Angie and their four kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh are staying at Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen’s Villa Maryland in St. Jean Cap Ferrat in France.

Two nannies and three bodyguards have reportedly joined the family for the trip and will stay for the duration. Angie will have two films screened down the French coast at the Cannes Film Festival — Clint Eastwood’s The Changeling and the animated movie, Kung Fu Panda.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their four kids are currently staying at Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen’s Villa Maryland in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera, reports E!

“It’s a breathtaking villa with views out over the Mediterranean [Sea] and they have roughly 12 staff on hand at all times to get them anything they need,” says a source. “They’ve stayed there before and love the house, it’s very private and no one can see in. They love France and will now be here until after the babies are born and Angie is looking at Marseille hospitals as a potential place to give birth.”

The Jolie-Pitts, along with two nannies and three bodyguards, arrived in France early Monday night via private jet at Nice airport. Angie, 32, plans on having her baby in France this summer.

What’s in store for the Brad and Angie the coming month? Brad reportedly will be scouting places for Angie to give birth. Angie will be busy at next month’s Cannes film fest. She has two films opening–a 1920s-set mystery thriller, Changeling, and an animated adventure, Kung Fu Panda.

The Jolie-Pitts stayed at Paul Allen’s villa for during Summer 2006 when Angie was pregnant with Shiloh. Angie met Paul, when she was shooting Shark Tale in 2004.

Republican bullhorn Rush Limbaugh praised Angelina Jolie yesterday on his radio show, saying she makes more sense than the Democrats when it comes down to the issue of Iraq.

Here’s what Rush, 57, had to say about Angie:

“Everybody today is raving about a piece in the Washington Post by Angelina Jolie in which she just got back from Iraq. She says, ‘We have finally reached a point where humanitarian assistance, from us and others, can have an impact.’ Her point is to stay, help the Iraqis, especially those who are out of the country, want to come back home, the time is right now, and that the surge is working. Now, if you read the piece by Angelina Jolie today in the Washington Post, you will conclude that she is deeper and in ways more specific than Obama about this if you read the whole article. She makes more sense than Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama or anybody on the Democrat side about this. It’s stunning. I’ve had some people, ‘Rush, you realize, she didn’t write it.’ I don’t know that she didn’t write it. I’m not going to assume she didn’t write it… That’s another thing, that’s a good point, too, it’s pretty brave of her to do this, given Hollywood and so forth. But she’s big enough to withstand it, and it sort of makes me appreciate this Brad Pitt guy a little more. He’s gone after substance here, is all I’m saying. This really is a good piece.”

We have finally reached a point where humanitarian assistance, from us and others, can have an impact.

UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie visited Iraq earlier this month and penned her experience for The Washington Post.

Here are some excerpts from Angie’s excellent opinion piece: “During my trip I also met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who has announced the creation of a new committee to oversee issues related to internally displaced people, and a pledge of $40 million to support the effort.

“My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis.

“Today’s humanitarian crisis in Iraq — and the potential consequences for our national security — are great. Can the United States afford to gamble that 4 million or more poor and displaced people, in the heart of Middle East, won’t explode in violent desperation, sending the whole region into further disorder?”
